Once a date for your dissertation defense has been set, notification should also be submitted to Dr. John Casey (Director of Global Infectious Diseases) and Ms. Jackie Miller (Administrative Program Coordinator).  The following information will be required:

  • Title of your dissertation
  • Defense date
  • Defense time (both defense seminar time and the time of your actual defense with your examining committee)
  • Defense location (also for both events-- if you require assistance in reserving rooms on campus for one or both of these events, please notify Ms. Miller)
  • The names (and affiliations, if not Georgetown University faculty) of all the members of your examining committee (so that the required Dissertation Defense Exam Report Form can be prepared and submitted to your primary mentor for completion)
